I think we should just meet at Aotea square center, again.
We're gonna have to buy stuff if we're gonna sit around inside, and Borders is a labyrinth.

thickshake: Cool, what times are u free man?
stacy: aww...well i put your name down anyway :P hope you can make it
JERI: well, I suggested the Starbucks which is pretty much the same place anyhow, although i guess you don't have to pay if we meet at Borders...do you have a good section we should meet at in mind?
Woric: Awesome!
SimpleJay: More awesome!

So yeah everyone...I updated the current details in the first post of the thread...basically what we need to decide on now is a specific time and what we're gonna be doing.

So here's my suggestions, it seems a lot of us are free on both days...which, i dunno if you guys are willing to travel up the the city twice in a weekend :S
anyhow its just an idea I'm throwing out here:

On Saturday, we meet (gimme some times you're comfortable with people! geez :P) and I dunno chat or something (I haven't been able to get in touch with Visionspring and Nilut yet so I'm not gonna go out and suggest barging into their apartment like last time  ). It would be great if you guys can suggest something we could do.

and maybe on Sunday we could have a sketchgroup thing? Dare I suggest...revive the Bobby Chiu Sketchgroup Auckland? :P

or heck we could even do it on Saturday, more drawing is always good...what are your thoughts everyone?

I vote for sketchgroup on Sunday :P, just because I'm being selfish and I want to be there to watch everyone do pretty drawings. Lol.

Just wondering if you were aware that the Xmas parade was on on Sunday. Queen St will be busy busy busy. Could provide for some awesome sketching material though, don't you think?

I'll be there provided it doesn't rain (catching a ride up with my family, who are attending xmas parade), from about.... 9am to 2pm? I think. Maybe a bit longer.

Well the Gloria Jeans cafe inside Borders might be what we're looking for. What say you?

If we meet during the day, I suggest hanging out in Albert park? Its one of the few public spaces in central Auckland where you won't be labelled as a loiterer or be forced to buy something. There will be tons of people around to sketch. However its all weather dependent :( its been good this week so far... Perhaps bring a bite to eat, a blanket or something to sit on etc.

Just a suggestion...

Visionspring: Great idea Sanjana! Would that be close to Aotea Centre? I'm sort of clueless about the City lol....

Anyways, I updated the first post a bit, how does meeting at 2~3pm sound to you guys?

ART PICNIC!!!! JOY!!!

um, so, because i have nothing better to do i wouldn't mind if we met earlier... but perhaps i can just meet up with some of you earlier and then we meet as a big ol' group of freaky nerd freaks at 2 - 3. Thinking how some of us... had to run to catch the bus because it was so late last time, it might be beneficial to get everything underway earlier?

Just thoughts to be considered by the grand master organizer paperx :)

Hai gais.

No sorry, seriously, hi there.

I've been talking to HunterKiller_, and he mentioned the CA meetings. I'll be up in Auckland this weekend, so I'd like to come along. Ever since I heard about these, I thought about meeting in the middle of Aotea Square. Don't know if that's a good idea though..

If it's the gate of Aotea Centre, I'll need to know exactly where that is 'cause I'm not completely sure. Is it the entrance to Armageddon thingy? Or that place with what looks like rocketships? It's been a while since I've been there. I think it's good to meet at an easy to get to and well-known location then move to wherever we want to.

LuckyDesign, bringing the Animatrix sounds really good. :D

Hey man, glad you can make it...the meeting place is the big wooden maori design gate to Aotea Square beside Imax entrance and Starbucks, if you're still not sure add me on msn at allan.exire@gmail.com or just email me at the same address and ill get back to ya :)

ALRIGHT GUYS/GALS I UPDATED THE FINAL DETAILS ON THE FIRST POST.

CHECK IT OUT!!!
