This all started out as somewhat of a joke, and ended up as not-quite-a-joke but still ridiculously over the top sci-fi. Because people take sci-fi far too seriously.
The character I am designing is Hercules. He's a rich, famous mercenary/hero-for-hire. He goes to planets and does his hero thing and then hooks up with all his fangirls. By the time he joins Jason he's ridiculously bored and is a total arse who thinks the shine shines out of his behind.
What I am trying to portray here is that Herc is a douche.
There's some costume/weapon development happening for him. I will post it later.
So, the argonauts story tells that Hercules took his male lover, Hylas, with him on the adventure. When Hylas fell in love with some nymphs on an island, Hercules went looking for him and Jason left Herc behind. Hercules never found Hylas. How tragic
I figured that my Herc kinda needed a sci-fi bimbo, so I turned ol' Hylas into a girl and designed her too.
She's a generic sexy girl who kicks ass and has no personality whatsoever. Unless scowling and pouting can be called evidence of personality. Hercules acquired her when he killed her father, Theiodamas, an evil crime lord. He looses her when she joins the Nymphs, a group of deadly female assassins. Herc's actually quite sad that she left him, but hey, he'll get over it. There's always more space bimbos.
More later.
