Blender 3D Unit learning course (beginners)

Postby cwans » Sun Dec 23, 2007 2:32 pm

Hi guys,

I'm about to embark on self-study on Blender - the open source alternative program to the more expensive but infinitely more powerful Maya and 3D max.

I can't afford the later, so I'm going to revisit what I did in Blender by doing a proper course on it.

Here's the link.

http://www.gryllus.net/Blender/3D.html

It's all free. I'll post up some work results from the course as I go. Anyone who's free, do this with me. A bit of 3D won't hurt. :)

Have a good xmas and 2008!

Hi, I wondered how you were getting along with your course. I looked at the link you gave, the tut's look interesting. I use Maya a little but I was curious to see if Bender was worth exploring as a tool for home use.

Any insight?....

Blender is a great tool to use, especially when you can't afford the more expensive software like Autodesk etc.

Actually I was wonder if there is a blender user group around at all in NZ?
